STUDIO
A collection of news and artifacts
In a three-week intensive period, students Ankur Moolky, Peikun Yang, Jiawen Lyu, and Ruilin Gao were challenged with interviewing local NYC-based architects Sandro Marpillero and Linda Pollak and translating their space and story into abstract visualizations of their special live-work hybrid loft. The team worked to gain a thorough understanding of what made the space uniquely theirs, then decided on representational strategies for the final work.
While Peikun, Jiawen, and Ruilin focused on building a physical model that acted as a reincarnation of the space, Ankur designed and created the multi-projection oblique drawing in an attempt to capture the layers and spatial conditions characterizing the couple's home.
